London and Edinburgh, summer 2026

About Hannah and Maki
We are currently writing a book together about moxibustion in Japan. Our research has taken us to visit many different clinics and to study alongside teachers who practice diverse moxa methods. With their blessing we are delighted to be bringing these methods over to the UK for these workshops.
We will be teaching in London at a beautiful venue in Shepherd’s Bush, and in Edinburgh in charming Portobello where we taught last year.
The self-care moxa workshops are open to everyone with a curiosity about moxa and how they can use it to support their own body’s balance.
The clinical moxa workshops are for professionals - learning how to incorporate moxa into your existing work; expanding your palpation skills and learning more nuance in moxa application.
We are delighted to share this work with you. As we are having to travel from Japan, the tickets are non-refundable, but should you need to transfer your spot onto someone else just let us know so we know who to expect on the day.

Testimonials from 2025
Self-care Moxa 2025:
Fascinating and practical use was fun!!! Hannah and Maki have a wealth of knowledge about all things Moxa, they impart their knowledge in a really inspiring, understandable way - with a brilliant combination of theory, hands on practical and reflective practice. I arrived knowing nothing about Moxa, and left feeling excited, empowered with a brilliant toolkit to use at home and eager to learn more!
Clinical Moxa 2025:
This was such an enjoyable, fun and educational day! It was fun and inspiring to learn Rice-Grain moxa techniques, and I'm already using it in clinic. I can't recommend this course more highly. I'm an Acupuncturist, Tuina and Shiatsu practitioner, and I can see how these techniques could help patients coming for any of these treatments. Thank you!
Clinical Moxa 2025:
I was so pleased I made the journey for this workshop. The day was fun and informative. I am using the skills I learnt in my clinic already. The location of the workshop was great and the networking opportunity was brilliant. I will definitely come again and start saving up for a visit to Japan.
